چکیده
Abstract. Coasts are among the most intensely used environments on planet, but they also present dynamic and unique hazards, including flooding erosion. Sea level rise changing wave climates will alter patterns of erosion deposition, some existing coastline evolution models unable to simulate these effects due their one-dimensional representation systems or sediment transport processes. In this paper, development application Coastline Evolution Model 2D (CEM2D) presented, a model which incorporates influences. The has been developed from established CEM is capable simulating fundamental cause–effect relationships in coastal systems. two-dimensional storage CEM2D, only done one-dimension CEM, mean it exploring influence variable water formation morphological features landforms at mesoscale. sits between three-dimensional models, with advantage increased complexity detail outputs compared former more efficiency less computational expense than latter.

Holocene evolution of the gravel coastline of East Sussex: discussion
In a recent issue of the Proceedings, Jennings & Smyth (1990) investigated a critical aspect of the Holocene coastal evolution of much of Britain; namely gravel (or shingle) sediment supply and beach morphodynamics through time. Their study area is the coastline of East Sussex, and it should be noted that it is only a component of the larger coastal unit (or 'master cell') between Selsey Bill a...
متن کاملOn the projective evolution of 2D curves
In this paper, we investigate the evolution of curves of the projective plane according to a family of projective invariant intrinsic equations. This is motivated by previous work for the Euclidean 10, 11, 13] and the aane cases 20, 21, 3, 2] as well as by applications in the perception of two-dimensional shapes. We establish the evolution laws for the projective arclength and curvature. Among ...

In January and February 2002, the presence of certain agricultural pesticides throughout the coastline of the Caribbean island of Martinique was investigated. The tropical climate of the French West Indies is suitable for banana production, which requires intensive use of pesticides. An inventory of all pesticides used on the island (compounds and tonnage) was compiled. Surveys and analyses rev...
متن کاملFloridian Coastline Recession
Rising sea levels are of significant concern as global temperatures continue to mount. Predicted increases in sea level place coastal regions and cities in danger. This danger is far from uniform; many factors contribute to the relative infiltration of water and its consequent effect on land. Naive considerations of elevation alone would result in a poor model of what happens in real life. This...
